I wished I had done better at checking into this washer before my purchase. One has to buy the faucet accessory separately with GE. With Whirlpool it comes with the washer at no extra charge. Both washers are comparable in price. Had to take the faucet hose off my old whirlpool washer and attach it to the GE so I could use it.
Other than that it™™s a great washer.

I had a GE model I was very happy with for years. This new model is nothing like it. It spins before it takes water. It leaves no room for cycle adjustments of time or function. Of you try, it releases the water and you must start over. The materials are inferior in quality. The store only gives 48 hours to return. Not happy

very nice washer - works great and programs easily and has options I never had before: extra spin, extra rinse.
one complaint: the lint catchers never catch any lint! My previous washer had lint catchers that caught substantial amounts of lint every time. Never had any lint in these traps = 100 washes

I live in an apartment without and washer/dryer hook up and was tired of wasting time and money at the laundry mat. I've had this purchase for over 6 months now, has worked really well. Only complaints: doesn't get all of the cat hair off, but clothes come out clean. There was a bit of loudness during the spin cycle but I put a paper towel between the 2 metals and the the rattle went away. They did have to deliver a second washer because the first one they delivered had a big dent in the side (likely from a forklift on shipping). It was worth the wait. The spin cycle gets a lot if the water out and my clothes normally air dry within 24 hours. As for the cost, it's built like a real washing machine, so it's more expensive, but I can fit larger items like blankets and sheets inside so that's a good bonus. Even though I got the model with wheels, I built a dolly with bigger wheels to move it across my apartment. If I was only moving it a few feet everytime it wouldn't be an issues but since I'm storing it kind of far from the sink, I needed some heavier duty wheels. I would definitely buy again!

The machine cleans OK in general - but I've already been disappointed to pull out a sweatshirt on which a small amount of plain old toothpaste fell, to find a "stain" from the toothpaste remained. That's not normal and should have been washed away. I am left to assume that because the machine is "high efficiency" and uses less water and doesn't have a traditional agitator, it simply can't get clothes as deeply clean as a more traditional washer can (the only reason I didn't buy a full-size, traditional washer is because the cabinets are now too big to go through my small hallway, so this machine was my only option). The other thing that has disappointed me is the color bleaching out entirely on two other shirts, basically ruining them - note that I don't use bleach at all, so can only assume, again, that it's because the machine doesn't do a very good job of mixing up the detergent in the water during a wash and thus too much detergent sat on these locations on the shirts.
I would not buy this machine unless you, like me, have no other option due to size, etc.

This machine has required 4 technicians to come and work on it and all of them have been challenged to figure out how to fix it. It does not drain correctly and floods. It is under warranty so they keep ordering parts and say it will be another 2 weeks. After 6 weeks of dealing without a washer we bought a Whirlpool even though we only had this washing machine for 5 months. Poor product and service.

I™™ve had this washer and dryer set, and so far as of 2 1/2 years without issues. This GE portable washier can wash full, queen and king sized blankets/comforters. I even was all the pet™™s bedding coats etc™¦ Saves money to visit the laundry room and in the comfort of your own home/apartment and trailer.

This is a really good washer with a sufficient amount of bells and whiles to make it a modern product. Because the washer automatic senses the clothing loads, it adjusts the amount of water needed to do the job. I think some folks passed over it , thinking it is too small, but it can handle large jobs like sheets, blankets and spreads without to repeat the washing cycle more than 2 times. My laundry room is tight and it fits snuggly therein

I have had this washer for only one day, and have used it on 3 loads. It cleans very well, is spacious enough to do a regular week's laundry for 2 people, and provides several settings. Happily it fits in a small space. I would have given this machine 5 stars, except the manual could be clearer about using the infuser and there are many plastic parts that I expect will break sooner than I would like.

I had the GE poertable washing machine for about 10 years. THe lid broke and it was about 100.00 cheaper than buying a new machine. The new machine is GREAT and has some improvemets since the one I had 10 years ago.

This is our second washer, first one was replaced under extended warranty through Best Buy after 2 years. Our new unit is once again having issues after only 2 years of light usage. We bought the extended warranty but it™™s still a pain waiting on service technicians and having the unit down. So far with our second unit we had service visit us 3 times. System still not working as it should, takes about 60-70 minutes to get through a speed wash which should take less than 40. When it was new it worked great, as soon as manufacturers warranty ran out, it was a all downhill from there.

I like this washer. It is a practical way to do my wash at home in my tiny 1930s cottage.
Drawbacks for me are no agitator. I believe cloths get cleaner. I have had to get better at pre-was spot cleaning. The wheels are not long enough to move the machine easily. I replaced them. That is it though! Should be an energy sipper. Time will tell. Not tiny but small enough.

I have just got this machine and it works great with one exception it has very small casters and is very difficult to move. We have a small apt. and it is almost impossible to move it. I had no trouble with my old machine because the casters were bigger. Are there any replacements casters that I could retrofit?

I've had this washer for about 3 years and it's always worked great. Now the water dribbles out when draining and doesn't drain completely. I've checked hoses for blockage, cleaned lint traps. If it's the water pump, I'd be very disappointed. A water pump should last longer than 3 years. I never want to do laundry now, because I know I'll be fighting with this machine.
