I paid the big bucks for the name brand, and thought I was getting assurance it would last and be repairable. Just on the edge of warranty expiration we got the E4 code. Did all the suggested debug steps and no recovery. Had to pay for service tech to visit. Found a bad thermistor in the back wall. NOBODY has the part. I™™m on vendor 3 trying to get one shipped. Very disappointed in part availability after only 5 years of service.
I didn™™t have issues with the noise level, ours has been quiet. The shelves only work well for narrow diameter bottles.

This model is not multi-use. Bottles smaller in diameter than a wine bottle fall through the slots. Need to be able to order replacement shelves so that this unit can be used with varying size bottles and or cans.

I replaced my old Whirlpool wine cooler that was eight years old with the same model. I was happy with the old model, and I am happy with the replacement. I hope it last longer than the previous one.

Like so many others that have bought this Whirlpool wine fridge, ours has died too. It just stopped working, no cooling, no light, nothing. When designing our kitchen, the contractor misread this unit's dimensions, mistaking the fridge's overall dimensions for the space dimensions, necessitating the removal of the granite countertop to install it. Now I'm going to have to find someone willing to try to remove the countertop (including disconnecting the bar sink's plumbing) without breaking it, just so I can get rid of this piece of junk. One thing's for sure, I won't be buying another Whirlpool wine fridge, or anything else made by Whirlpool ever again.

This is a 4 year old refrigerator and is hardly cooling. The temperature is all the way down to 41 and hardly cold inside. Im afraid all my wine bottles will go bad. It's unfortunate for such an expensive wine cooler to last only few years.

After 16 years, my Maytag wine cooler needed to be replaced. I wanted to buy a Whirlpool Corp. product because of the good experience Really like my new wine cooler. Better racking and great to have exact temp adjustment.

I™™ve had this fridge for just under 3 years and it stopped cooling. I tried some simple fixes that I saw online, which didn™™t help. I then got a local appliance company to diagnose, and they stated it™™s a freon leak and estimated the cost to fix at $1000. That™™s not acceptable for a $1350 fridge. Poor quality.

As others have said all f a sudden my wine frig is barely cold, it has been so so for a while. The temperature control is on 41 degrees which seems to be the lowest setting and I can tell you it is no where near that. Very disappointed in this expensive wine center frig.

I bought this in 2017 to finish our our wine center in our new construction home. 5 years to the day Dec. 17 2017 to Dec 17 2022. RIP wine fridge as it was over $1000 to "try" to fix it. Repair guys were great and said "put your money into a new fridge, NOT a whirlpool one"

So far so good however the door does not close well on its own. If you just push it closed and walk away it will bounce back and be slightly ajar and then a few minutes later I will hear beeping. With kids I™™m nervous that it won™™t be closed and the motor will burn out. It also only cools to 41.

I bought this fridge a few years ago and the compressor has already gone out and the fridge no longer cools. I did not purchase additional service coverage, but regardless of warrantee, a $1200 fridge should last longer than this! Very disappointed by this product and I would strongly recommend against purchasing this product or this brand.

The fridge is unbearable. There is a constant buzz emitting from the fridge that never stops. Had repair service come out and was told that it was a normal fan noise. I am at a loss as to what to do! Do not buy this fridge.

Installed in new build home 9/2017. It stopped running and cooling. Whirlpool repair of $125 said it was masterboard and would be $760 to replace and not included in 5 year warranty. Isn't a masterboard an essential part and required to run the unit??It should not go out within 5 years. Very disappointed in the fact a unit of this price would go out in 5 years and the key component to make it work isn't covered.

The wine cooler is just a little too high to go under a standard counter. I had to raise up the counter! The shelves are too close together to allow a slightly larger bottle to fit. When I open the shelves the bottles stick and the shelf literally ripped the label off the bottle.

I purchased 3 of these from a local reseller in Dallas. After the original warranty ran out I purchased a 3 year extended warranty for all 3 units. It was a bit costly but better than replacing an entire unit. Shortly thereafter one of the units failed. A tech was called out and after a month or so said there was nothing they could. Not great since I purchased the extended warranties and the unit was only 4 years old.

Bought this 2 years ago and it started beeping last night. It has a CL error code. I called Whirlpool and they said they did not know what CL is and that I should call to have it repaired. How can Whirpool not know their own codes???? The lady I was talking with said maybe the repairman would know. Useless support.

Got this with a new house build in November 2019. On Feb 2021, started beeping and through CL codes. Had a repairman from the whirlpool site come out and said he thought it was the PCB and it would be $350+ for the part plus labor + the $90 he was charging for that visit. Added it bonus would be it would take 4+ months to even get the part in and he couldn't guarantee that the part would fix it. Basically wait until June, out $550 on a chance this may fix the issue. I am assuming this will fix the issue since its happened to many homes in my neighborhood with the same wine center. Not a good product and I am just waiting for the 2nd one I own to go out too.

Ours quit cooling after just 2 years. After 2 service calls and almost $300, it still won™™t cool and apparently can™™t be fixed. Ours was installed under counter, but it was still incredibly loud. Don™™t waste your money!

In less than 4 years it stopped working. Repair person ($100) told me it could not be fixed. I had to throw it away... This after I had just replaced a 4 year old Kitchen Aid Microwave because it cost too much to repair also after $100 and prior to having a 2nd trip by the repair people. I find two appliances I have to throw away the same week, after $200 in repairs, both less than 4 years old, unacceptable. Whirlpool seems to think that is normal good product performance. They could not care less. So, my advice, is buy the cheapest unit that works for you and put $ into extended warranties. Buying a "name brand", at least the Whirlpool family of brands, has no value whatsoever. The value is in the warranty and how a company stands behind its products, and Whirlpool seems not to be standing at all!
